The fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries were a fascinating period in European history. The transition from the Late Middle Ages to the early modern period brought with it the birth of the Renaissance in Italy, the fall of Constantinople and the Byzantine Empire and of course the Wars of the Roses in Britain.
